Ways to Give
Monetary Support for Our Library
- Contributions can be made quickly and easily using our online form.
- Memorials for lovers of libraries, books, and reading can also be made online or arranged through the Friends office.
- Bequests create a lasting impact on future generations. Please include the Friends of the Library in your estate plans; contact the Friends office to direct a charitable gift through your will or living trust.
- The Knox County Public Library Foundation was created in 2006 to collect, invest, and distribute funds donated for the improvement of the Knox County Public Library.

Give Your Time
Volunteering is the bedrock of everything Friends is and does. Both short-term and year-round projects abound for volunteers interested in contributing to the vibrancy of our community, working with like-minded people, or learning something new.
Join us as a volunteer and dedicate some of your special skills, experience, and enthusiasm to our work. Every volunteer hour is a statement of advocacy for libraries, books, and reading.
Donate Your Books
Friends relies on donated reading material to generate financial support for the Knox County Public Library System.
