Highlights from the Annual Meeting: Diane Rocco’s Inspiring Talk

At this year’s Annual Meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from Diane Rocco, the online sales lead for the Blount County Friends of the Library. Under Diane’s leadership, the Maryville-based group has achieved remarkable success—generating nearly $150,000 annually through the sale of donated books and media.

Diane brings a wealth of experience to her volunteer work. In her first career, she worked as a mechanical engineer designing nuclear plants and later oversaw the dismantling of experimental reactors at National Laboratories. In her second career as a dedicated volunteer, she has earned state-level recognition for both her own contributions and the accomplishments of her Friends group.

Diane is passionate about helping other Friends organizations succeed in online sales and has generously shared her expertise with groups across Tennessee—including ours. We are truly fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and supportive Friend so close to home.
