Friends will participate this year in the Knoxville Opera Company’s Rossini Festival International Street Fair on Saturday, April 22, with a book sale in the East Tennessee History Center auditorium from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The sale will feature nonfiction books on opera and classical music, European travel, foreign languages, art, cooking, and wine and beer.
Focusing almost exclusively on books for our youngest readers, the Friends booth is always a crowd favorite at the Knox County Public Library’s Children’s Festival of Reading each May. The 2017 festival will be held on Saturday, May 20.
All volumes are $1 or less, making it possible for families to stock up on summer reading at affordable prices.

Friends frequently receives donations of collectible books. Some are offered to the Special Collections of the East Tennessee History Center. Others are listed for sale online.
